Things are going very well as we plan for Exhibitor2009. For those of you new to our blog, I'm keeping a diary as I plan for the show and hopefully these entries will become a good resource for our clients as they prepare for their events. I have to confess that I missed the early bird ordering deadline for the badge scanner rental. This means the rental cost us $40 more than it would if I had ordered 4 days earlier. I just got a little sloppy on that detail.
Right now we have all of our booth graphics designed and ordered, so it is time for us to get working on our supporting materials. As I've mentioned in previous weeks, we are going to give away a $500 gift card to Amazon.com for the person that is able to provide the closest guess to the number of products we have available for online ordering at displayit.com We are going to promote this in our pre-show e-mail message and a pre-show postcard mailer. We are also going to use one of our graphic literature displays to let people know about our giveaway at the show. The graphic that we will use is below. It is sort of an old marketing tradition to use a fish bowl and have attendees throw their business cards in the bowl for a chance at winning a prize. Or the fish bowl would be filled with a bunch of M&Ms and people would try to guess how many are inside. The old fish bowl is a little cliche and not very effective today, but we decided to play off that idea. Our designer created a graphic that shows a few of our products floating in a fish bowl. Hopefully prospects will spend a few minutes reviewing displayit.com so they can make an educated guess.
