Banner Stand Displays Reorganized

We've changed the layout on our site to make it easier to find and compare banner stand displays. Previously, the products were organized strictly by style (like single-sided, double-sided, outdoor, etc.). Now, they're categorized primarily by price range.

The main product category pages have a new look as well.  It's easier to compare each of the products on the budget banner stand, premium banner stand, and multi-banner stand display pages based on their features and prices.

Trade Show Displays: Buy, Rent, or Refurbish?

The slow economic recovery continues to affect many companies' bottom lines. While marketing is vital for drumming up new business, the marketing budget is one of the first to be cut when money is tight. Trade shows are a great way to get your company's name out there and engage with existing customers and sales prospects face-to-face; however, sometimes trade shows can be quite costly. Product Spotlight: Recent Award-Winners

Displayit is always on the lookout for products that are affordable, innovative, and designed to showcase your marketing efforts effectively. We couldn't be more thrilled that two of our newest offerings, the Brandcusi banner stand and TK6 Truss, recently received Product Design Awards from EXHIBITOR magazine. These two products have helped to raise the bar for current and future trade show display designs.

The judges' panel was comprised of three industrial designers, and the contest entries were evaluated on four criteria: "functionality, industry benefits, usefulness to exhibit and event professionals...and overall design aesthetic."

Product Video of the Week: Brandcusi Banner Stand

If you have any experience with BrandStand products, then you know they're reasonably priced, and assembly is a snap. 

We started carrying one of their newest products, the Brandcusi banner stand, in March. It features one of the coolest designs on the market, and it just won a Product Design Award from the judges at the EXHIBITOR 2011 conference. Check out the article here.  

The frame consists of labeled, corded poles, which snap easily and firmly into place. The double-sided, pillowcase-style graphics then slide over the frame, zipping closed along the top of the banner stand. Prices start at $455.

Are You Ready to Give "Green" Displays the Green Light?

Although the green movement is certainly not a new concept, it seems like "being green" is on lots of people's minds these days, and not just environmental activists. Legislators. Corporate executives. Filmmakers. Architects, engineers, fashion designers; the list goes on and on. Green is everywhere. Concerns about global warming, environmental toxins, and gas shortages have driven people to look for alternative forms of energy and alternative ways of creating and designing the products that we use in our everyday lives. 

The trade show industry has definitely been impacted; we are seeing more and more manufacturers offering green exhibiting and event marketing products, and they are also incorporating green design when manufacturing those products. We think it's great that more and more people are having discussions about being good stewards of our environment.

Trade Show Phrase of the Day: Dressing the Exhibit

When you're getting ready for a big event, you want everything to look perfect. For most people, that means spending time adding last-minute details to really "wow" their intended audience.

"Dressing" your exhibit involves focusing on those final details. Examples of dressing the exhibit include putting graphics on your trade show display, putting a table cover on your table, installing a kiosk or workstation, and adding hanging signs.

Dress for Success

What sort of finishing touches are right for your booth? Consider what will appeal to your customers.  If, for instance, you're in a tech-savvy industry, it makes sense for you to incorporate the latest technology into your marketing campaign. We've got great products for multimedia presentations, including monitor stands and an iPad counter.

Will you be sending anything home with your prospects? Kiosks with shelving are great for product samples. If you have a literature stand present in your booth, attendees can take a flyer or a brochure with them.

The most important thing you can do is to focus on creating a powerful marketing strategy. That way, you can tailor your exhibit to your clientele effectively and achieve your marketing goals.

Think about what you want to accomplish at your show or event. Are you a membership-based organization looking for more members? Do you have a new product or service that you want to introduce? If so, where? In a market where you already have an established presence or an entirely new market?

Once you have decided what you want to accomplish, make sure that your display communicates your message clearly and effectively, and dress your exhibit with the products that will reinforce that message.

New Product of the Week: X-Stand Banner Stand

Non-retractable banner stands, also known as "portable banner stands" or "tension back banner stands," have always been a reliable standby for high-volume banner stand users and budget-conscious exhibitors alike. This style of banner stand is typically less expensive than a retractable banner stand, and it's ideal for high-traffic locations, such as retail stores. Our newest banner stand, the X-Stand, fits into this category perfectly.

On this style of banner stand, which is also referred to as an "X banner" or "X frame," each of the four corners of the graphic is stretched tightly, then attached to an X-shaped frame. The fabric panel must be attached to and removed from the hardware manually.

Trade Show Phrase of the Day: Banner Stand

A banner stand is a trade show display comprised of a panel (usually made of fabric) that's attached to free-standing hardware (usually made of metal). Banner stands are one of our best-selling products, as they are economical, lightweight, portable, and multi-purpose. Banner stands can be used alone or in conjunction with a larger display.

Displayit offers multiple styles of banner stand displays, including retractable banner stands, non-retractable banner stands, multi-banner stand displays, outdoor banner stands, table top banner stands, and eco-friendly banner stands.

Retractable banner stands have base units which house the display's graphics during storage periods or transit to and from an event. Graphics are rolled and are either on a removable graphics cartridge, or they're built into the base of the banner stand.

Non-retractable banner stands are recommended for high-volume applications, such as point-of-purchase displays. They are very economically priced and a great choice when money is tight.

Multi-banner stand displays consist of several banner stands that are attached together using edge magnets or clips (depending on the type of display that is purchased). Multi-banner stand displays are a very cost-effective way to add a graphic backwall to your booth space, and they're a great option when you want to make use of multiple images in your advertising campaign.

Outdoor banner stands are perfect for events such as fairs, farmers' markets, sidewalk sales, and sports tournaments. The outdoor-grade graphics and hardware are designed to withstand inclement weather conditions, like rain and wind. The banner stand bases are usually staked down or filled with water or sand to increase stability. 

Table top banner stands are recommended for smaller events and for people who travel frequently. They can provide significant cost savings on shipping, since they can be packed easily into luggage. 

Eco-friendly banner stands are manufactured from sustainable materials, such as recycled soda bottles, bamboo, and recycled aluminum. The stains and finishes on our eco-friendly banner stands are water-based and either low-VOC (volatile organic compound) or VOC-free. An excellent choice for those who want to "go green."

Introducing the All-New Brandcusi Banner Stand!

We’re excited to offer our customers another distinctive, competitively-priced banner stand, the BrandStand Brandcusi.

The frame is comprised of corded, aluminum poles, which snap into place for quick assembly. The double-sided, dye-sublimated, fabric graphics slide easily over the frame and zip along the top side of the banner stand. Use the same artwork on both sides, or opt for a unique design on each side. Choose from available three shapes: angled top, curved top, and straight top. The optional accessories package includes frosted shelving and a literature holder.

Cool fact: the banner stand’s designs and name were inspired by Romanian-born artist Constantin Brâncuşi.
