Table top displays have come a long way over the years. The market used to be dominated by tri-fold displays, but today there's a wide range of displays available to exhibitors, from tension fabric displays and table top banner stands, to modular displays and pop-up displays.
In an endless sea of table top displays, how will you ensure that your display will catch the interest of show attendees? Use our five simple tips below:
1) Select the right display for the job. Make sure your display can compete in the venue where you're exhibiting. If your competition will be using larger displays (such as a modular display) at their tables, then you don't want to show up with a smaller display (like a tri-fold) and risk getting lost in the crowd. Is your event local? If so, it makes sense to get a display that can be carried into your venue by hand. That way, you'll avoid shipping and drayage costs.
2) Spend time creating the right visuals. You have just seconds to catch the eyes of showgoers. Treat your table top display as if it were a billboard. Use strong visual imagery and limit text to only the most important points of your marketing campaign.
3) Control clutter. Make sure that your promotional literature isn't competing with your display for your prospects' attention. Too much information and too many visual aids can be overwhelming. Let your booth staff engage with the audience members while they're on the show floor, and save printed handouts (brochures, etc.) for later.
4) Complement your display with a printed table cover. Custom-printed table covers strengthen your branding efforts, providing additional opportunities for highlighting your company logo or advertising taglines.
These days, the competition is fierce for the audience’s attention on the show floor. If you plan on using a table top display at your next show, make sure that you're doing everything you can to ensure your company's message is seen (and heard) loud and clear.
